Sox Braves Game 1

Wow, Dice-K was shaky from the very first pitch, which Nate McLouth jacked out of the park. Kawakami was extremely good and hard to hit, he only allowed 2 hits, both from Bay. That was the real problem. Our offense looked dismal and couldn’t produce at all. Yeah, Dice-K pitched terribly, but he let up only 6 runs in 5 innings, and when we scored 2 runs in the 6th we could have come back. Our bullpen was dismal as well, and they allowed it to get out of reach. Unfortunately we didn’t look like our normal offensive selves yesterday, and with more run support early, our starters will perform better; and vice versa. As long as we can outhit our opponents, I think the rest will take care of itself. However, with the Yankees easily beating the Marlins 5-1, our division lead is down to 2 games.
